BELOW: Colman Domingo, Lypsinka, Lil Nas X and more ...

YOUTUBE: In another year, Colman Domingo's performance as gay-rights and Civil Rights Era pioneer Bayard Rustin in Rustin would be a guaranteed Oscar nomination. I still think he has a chance, but the field is intimidating. Above, he charms Stephen Colbert! If Beale Street Could Talk, Zola, Euphoria, The Color Purple and this. Colman is worthy of another (he's got an Emmy) major award.

THE NEW GROUP: You can stream Lypsinka: Toxic Femininity from January 19 — and so, why wouldn't you?!

HUFF POST: As expected, Trump coasted to an easy win in the Iowa Republican primary. However, please note that about 49% of those participating in the caucus process opted for someone else, even though Trump's status as the eventual GOP nominee is unassailable. Also, turnout was extremely low, which was possibly affected by extreme weather — but just as possibly affected by the extreme candidate.

Trump prevailed in 98 of 99 counties. He apparently lost one county to Nikki Haley. By one vote.

NYT: Young, brown Trump Vivek Ramaswamy dropped out of the POTUS race after a miserably poor showing in Iowa.

BILLBOARD: I was completely shocked his video did not end with a “FUCK YOU! HAHA!” ... but Lil Nas X is apparently feeling actual heat over his religious themed music video for “J Christ.” He issued a disconcerting apology. I hate to see him back down, and I suspect it's mostly because the unlistenable song flopped. Here's hoping he bounces back!

(And she has yet to cancel or postpone a concert on her Celebration Tour once she recovered from almost dying.) She also used her Detroit show to honor her 92-year-old dad, whose death had been rumored earlier this month, but who showed up to support her.

TMZ: Gorgeous actor and fitness model Alec Musser, who died recently at 50, shot himself in the chest. So many on social media linked his sudden death to the COVID vaccine.

POLITICO: RFK Jr. is pro-wiretapping Martin Luther King Jr.

JUST JARED: Young people think NOT wanting Israel to disappear = loving genocide, so Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp — who, admittedly, had behaved flippantly in a video intended to assert Jewish pride — was finally forced to issue a statement disavowing the death of innocents in Gaza.

MEN'S HEALTH: How he left Mormonism after coming out as gay.

DEADLINE: Our Flag Means Death is canceled after two seasons, and Gay Twitter is appalled.

GR8ERDAYS: The Emmys were a 9 out of 10, and the In Memoriam was lovely, but I can't get over some of the TV stars they ignored ... people like David Soul, who was part of such an iconic series, and repeat Emmy nominees like Barbara Bosson.
