HUFF POST: Out of nowhere, SCOTUS has agreed to review Trump's argument that a POTUS should have carte blanche to break any and every law. While I assume the body will universally disagree with him — even the worst on the Court — the fact that they're taking it up is intentionally designed to delay or even end justice by putting the brakes on his January 6 trial. If that trial is pushed to after the election, and if Trump wins, it will never happen. But of course, if Trump wins, democracy ends and I imagine some violence is coming.

NBC NEWS: Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) is stepping down from his leadership position in the Senate at the end of 2024. Since the Senate map is extremely challenging for Democrats, it's likely we will have a Republican Majority Leader — and since all Republicans are now batshit-insane, it's ... and it pains me to type this ... only gonna get EVEN WORSE. Worse than Mitch McConnell, a human being who is pure evil.

NYT: In Ghana, being gay is now officially an imprisonable offense.

THE GUARDIAN: “Good Times and Dances Might Last Forever.”

AP NEWS: I'm behind due to work commitments, but I wanted to point out that the bodies of the men murdered by that gay cop in Australia were found. Tragic. Apparently, the murderer had intended only to kill the TV personality, on whom he had a fixation, but the guy's new boyfriend was in the wrong place at the wrong time, so he killed both. He directed authorities to where the bodies were buried in a shallow grave.

The killer, Beau Lamarre-Condon, used to be a celebrity hunter (hey, we're not all bad!) who got very close for photos with everyone from Lady Gaga to Kim Kardashian to Harry Styles. He had a lavish lifestyle possibly supplemented by sex work, and bragged of travels and luxury living. He grew up filthy rich.

Bizarre story, and I feel terrible for his victims — Jesse Baird and Luke Davies.

INSTAGRAM: Trinity Taylor aka Trinity the Tuck was Madonna's guest at her second Celebration Tour stop in San Francisco Wednesday night. Her appearance has special meaning, in that her mom died of AIDS complications in 1993 and is memorialized during the show's “Live to Tell” sequence.

RANDY REPORT: I feel bad for my friend who just arrived in Vegas, mainly for Adele, only to find she's postponing all March gigs. He'll do Madonna a SIXTH time instead.
