NEWS ALERT! I’m thrilled to announce my next big thing—a feature film adaptation of Tim Murphy’s 2023 novel “Speech Team” (Viking) This will be my 4th feature as a writer/producer and my 3rd as a writer/director/producer.

I tore through this page-turner when it came out last year and knew immediately that it had to be my next movie. It’s a compelling story about friendship and reckoning which follows a group of old high school friends (from a speech & debate team) reuniting on a mission to seek out their team mentor to answer for his questionable behavior. It’s The Big Chill meets The Breakfast Club (for adults!) with fascinating characters, a great sense of humor, and some shocking surprises along the way.

On a bonus level, I’ve been a friend and fan of Tim’s work as a novelist for years too. So I couldn’t be more excited to be working with him on adapting this project to the big screen and bringing his fantastic book to life!
