His work is on display at Frieze New York, and has been reassessed for its capturing of a fleeting gay pier life that came and went with AIDS. EXTRATV: Madonna's Celebration Tour was capped off late Saturday by arguably her best performance of the show to date — and her last! In a free show attended by 1.6M people (the most ever to see a show by a single act), the Queen of Pop presented IMO the best possible version of her show by removing “Mother & Father” and “Don't Cry for Me Argentina,” adding “Music” and choosing to perform “Rain” vs. “Take a Bow.” She was radiant, happy and never missed a beat, and she is definitely fitter and more fluid than she was when she started things off in London. Thrilling.
