Faye Dunaway is a complicated figure. Most of the people I know revere her for her past performances, are not thrilled with her faith-based movies and that she was accused of dismissively referring to an assistant as a “little homosexual boy,” yet find her irresistibly camp.
So far, the new doc Faye, debuting on HBO July 13, seems to be a more honest look at the totality of who she is, acknowledging her shortcomings. Regardless of where you sit in her eyeline, it seems like required viewing:
