TWITTER: Trump entered the RNC last night to the strains of “It's a Man's World.” That can't be a mistake, ladies.

CNN: Biden has COVID for the third time. He's doing fine, but had to miss an important speech at a Latino-rights group's gathering in Nevada. He is recovering in Delaware. Absolutely EPICALLY bad luck.
HUFF POST: I continue to believe that Biden's got incumbency, a good economy and anti-Trumpism on his side, enough so that he is able to eke out a win in November. However, with Pelosi and now Schumer apparently talking to him semi-privately and telling him he is dragging down other races, and with a raft of other negative news, I am not sure he can withstand this type of pressure. If he stands down, he believes Kamala Harris can and will win. (I believe she can and will, too.) If not, then he believes the polling that suggests he fares best against Trump. Either way is a gamble, and anyone stridently telling you one way or another is probably too confident.
WSJ: J.D. Vance's big speech at the RNC had all the verve of an insurance pitch. If Trump ever won, my expectation would be that Vance would push him out. Anyone who goes from NEVER TRUMP to Trump's running mate within the span of several years is willing to do anything. At all.
So of course The New York Times spotlighted a rave review from an activist who calls himself a Tory anarchist.
HUFF POST: Vance definitely wants a national abortion ban.
THE ATLANTIC: Just 8-9 months ago, The Atlantic posted a puff piece in Peter Thiel, claiming he was taking a break from politics. Now, he owns the Republican VP nominee, and if Trump is re-elected, there is little doubt Vance would become POTUS by hook or by crook.
NYT: The Secret Service failed so spectacularly in the assassination attempt against Trump that the right simply cannot believe they weren't deliberately trying to get him killed, and the left simply cannot believe the whole event was not staged.
CNN: Looks like Trump's would-be assassin was just another right-wing loner with a gun fetish who wanted to go out in a blaze of glory — and not a Democrat egged on by Joe Biden mentioning the word “bull's-eye.”
