On Twitter, there are lots of accounts that constantly and hilariously ask are white women okay? and are white men okay? in response to various bad behaviors. I never take it personally — I laugh, even if it's dark humor because the behaviors are usually embarrassing for all. But isn't it time to ask if Black men are okay?! There seems to be an outpouring of contempt for the competent woman of color from that group. But then again, I am wondering if the final vote will really reflect this sexist backlash from Black men — after all, we keep hearing Trump has made giant inroads in the Black community, particularly among men, and then actual vote tallies show marginal gains only.
