ATTITUDE: Attitude turn in a fascinating as-told-to story about Mike Arlen, a fantastic beefcake photographer from England who died in 2022. I particularly liked this detail:
Mike Arlen should not be sanitised. There was a lot of sleaze; his work was quite rough and ready. He often chose the cheapest, fastest, easiest option for a photo session. He was photographing guys with full-on erections, but he was twisting the erection, so it wasn’t pointing upwards. That was a legal thing, and it was incredibly naff. He was also really pushing men of all ethnicities — it was a real mix. Sometimes the spreads were just tasters. What he was trying to do was get people around to buy the photo sets, and then they’d see the specials — the full-on erection shots, the ass shots, the cum shots, all of that.

VARIETY: Glenn Close, who met J.D. Vance while portraying his beloved Mamaw in the incredibly cringe-worthy Hillbilly Elegy, has again taken issue with him. On the red carpet for another film that looks pretty terrible (her choices! Glenn!), she implied he had no “moral backbone” for flip-flopping on Trump. (Okay, the recent spate of bad movies can be overlooked.)

BAY AREA REPORTER: In California, voters can decide whether to remove anti-same-sex marriage language from the state's constitution. However, the campaign to encourage a positive outcome went live using a male-female couple as its lead image. Prop 8 flashbacks!
