INSTAGRAM: Richard Arlen, film star of the '20s and '30s (and beyond), was born 125 years ago today. Here he is reuniting with his Wings co-star Charles “Buddy” Rogers — who famously kisses him in the film — on a 1968 episode of Petticoat Junction:

He and Charles “Buddy” Rogers were close pals in the WWl flick Wings” (1927), the first Best Picture Oscar winner, in which Buddy kisses Richard affectionately as his character dies. In 1968, the men made a sweet guest appearance on “Petticoat Junction” as themselves.
