INSTAGRAM: A grieving Louis Tomlinson has posted a lengthy tribute to Liam Payne, his old bandmate and friend who lost his life in a fall from a Buenos Aires hotel room. There is a lot of speculation swirling as to what happened, but based on his state of mind, probably drug use and the fact he was acting out and knew the authorities were arriving, it is at least a sensible possibility that he made an impaired decision to leap toward the swimming pool, missing. Otherwise, he could have fallen or intentionally taken his life.

NYT: Speaking of deaths, here's a doozy — journalist Megan Marshack had been, as a young woman, alone with former veep and NY Gov. Nelson Rockefeller, but would never speak about it. In fact, when he first died, the official story was a total lie, that he'd been working on a book alone, save for a bodyguard, in his office. In reality, he probably died in Marshack's arms, in her apartment. Marshack — in her own obit — refused to confirm their affair, but did leave a quote from A Chorus Line about not regretting what she did for love. Nice.
