UPDATE: Trump is instead picking Pam Bondi, his corrupt, empty-pantsuit personal attorney, who was once the AG of Florida. As atrocious as she is, she is still better than Gaetz.

Matt Gaetz, who already resigned from the House to presumably become Trump's couldn't-find-a-worse AG, has pulled out of consideration after facing fierce pushback from fellow GOPers.

Trump will be livid. A minor miracle. Trump will — of course — pardon him for anything pardonable, and his cohorts will — of course — continue to shield him. And who knows who will be AG now, Roseanne Barr?, but I'm happy in this moment.

Now we shall see if that damaging report leaks in full, and ... who Trump picks instead, gulp.
