FACEBOOK: LGBTQ+ activist Ed Sedarbaum, the widower of queer-comics godfather Howard Cruse, died at 78 Wednesday. Their former home together (from 1979-2002) is listed as an NYC LBGT Historic Site. Sedarbaum lobbied for a New York state hate crimes bill, founding various activist organizations in Queens including a senior center, and even ran for New York State Senate.

THE GUARDIAN: Just a few years ago, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-South Carolina) was an avowed LGBTQ+ ally, including specifying trans rights. Now, she's staking her entire career on making sure Rep. Sarah McBride (D-Delaware), who is MTF trans, never be allowed to pee in peace. Why are Republicans, so eager to sniff out inautheticity (SHE'S NOT REALLY BLACK! etc.), so willing to accept total flip-flopping charlatans? RFK Jr. also comes to mind.
