Today, the GLBT Historical Society today launches Focus on Living: Portraits of Americans with HIV and AIDS, a new photography exhibition by San Francisco's Roslyn Banish. It will be viewable at the GLBT Historical Society Museum in the Castro all the way through March.

In the exhibit are 16 portraits of people living with HIV, and includes interviews.

GLBT Historical Society Executive Director Roberto Ordeñana says:

Roslyn Banish’s unadorned portraits provide a window into the day-to-day struggles and triumphs of people living with HIV. This exhibition reminds us of the enduring impact of the epidemic and the importance of preserving and sharing these personal stories as part of LGBTQ history.

The GLBT Historical Society Museum is at 4127 18th St. in the Castro, and is open Tuesday-Sunday 11-1 and 1:30-5.
