A lot to unpack. (Image via Instagram)

But nah, they weren't GAY ... (Image via Matthew Rettenmund Archive)
JOE.MY.GOD.: It's nuts, but Victor Willis — an original Village People member and songwriter who left the group at the dawn of the '80s and returned more recently once he was awarded half ownership — is still on his gay-bashing bandwagon, trying to re-write history by claiming the group and its most famous song AREN'T gay-specific. The entire concept of the Village People was not subtly gay, most of them were gay themselves, Jacques Morali was gay, they played gay clubs, their songs referenced gay bars and the gay “Y.M.C.A.” action and gay hot spots like Fire Island. It's ludicrous. Now this crusty ol' homophobe says he wants to sue media outlets for calling “Y.M.C.A.” a gay anthem.
Meanwhile, original Village People star Felipe Rose says of “Y.M.C.A.”'s renewed success:
[I]t's bittersweet that after 46 yrs YMCA hold #1 for 2 weeks, bittersweet because 47 elect made it popular. The song that was once part of our gay Ziegeist now is part of POLITICAL/SPORTS world. Wied bizarre and what can one do? Laugh all the way to the bank. Make no mistake I will be a serogate here on the Jersey Shore to get out speak and push back, these next four years are going to test our resolve. We will prevail we find our way. Happy Holidays Everyone

OMG.BLOG!: It's like how the man who has this ass may not be gay, but the ass is still gay.
Here, he self-identifies as stupid and gullible (Image via Twitter)
TWITTER: Mikey Gilby, who fancies himself a media personality, is a gay guy who does not like trans people — at all — and who seems to be Libertarian in his views. He voted for virulently anti-gay Rep. Josh Schriver in Michigan and, in a classic case of whining after electing a member of the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party, he complained to Schriver when Schriver tweeted he wants to make gay marriage illegal again.
This is a central tenet of MAGA and, like Project 2025, a tenet then often pretend is not in their interest at all. Don't look behind the curtain! But it's clear for anyone who understands how judges work.
At any rate, Mikey is aggrieved that Rep. Schriver is asserting that he'd like to do what we all knew he would love to do all along.
Mikey later complains that the election was a binary choice, but shouldn't have been. So, when it comes to elections, Mikey wants a non-binary choice. But people need to stick to the old binaries. Got it. Gay Republicans are garbage. They shit on the only party that ever did anything positive for gay people and then want all of that party's rewards.
INSTAGRAM: It was just World AIDS Day. In honor of that, Vito Russo's panel on the NAMES Project's AIDS Quilt.
THE MIND SHIELD: Pete Hegseth stands accused of alcoholic lapses, serious sexual abuse and more, yet Republican (of course) Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyoming) chalks that up to:
Again, they’re throwing disparaging remarks at someone who has earned a great deal of credibility. Are soldiers sometimes wild childs? Yeah, that can happen.
Not even focusing on the use of “wild childs,” what an awful woman.

DAILY BRUIN: Graffiti artist or troll, someone is turning I'M GAY into an artistic statement.
KANSAS CITY STAR: Kansas has its first-ever out gay Minority Leader in its state body of representatives — meet Brandon Woodard of Lenexa, which really sounds so drag-ready. Go, Light Brandon!
PLAYBILL: Oh, Mary! is going to lose Cole Escola at the end of the year ... but they'll be replaced by Betty Gilpin. I love her, but not sure I get it.
QUEERPHORIA: Luke Evans, promoting his memoir, did an episode of Queerphoria, a podcast, in which he reads his own words about coming out to his Jehovah's Witness mother.
CNBC: Walmart is the latest company to disavow its previous participation in HRC's Equality Index, just another sign of a rapidly encroaching anti-gay backlash.
NY1: Gavin Creel's memorial was somber and respectful.
CBS NEWS: Tennessee banned all gender-affirming care for minors, and that case is now arriving at the Supreme Court. I'm sure that will go well for trans kids. The whole issue is fake. There is a relatively small number of kids who are saying they're trans. Almost zero, if not zero, underage children are having bottom surgery. Some are asking for and getting hormone treatments and otherwise living as the gender they feel expresses who they are. Without the bare minimum of help and understanding, many will be suicidal. But people with no trans children are ever-so-concerned about non-existent at-school sex-change operations.
PAY ATTENTION: When Republican Congressmen like Richard McCormick feel emboldened to openly suggest cutting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, it's time to stand up and be counted.

RAW STORY: Republicans, who often shy away from admitting their true intentions, are now openly talking about cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Fuck you if you voted for him. Fuck your friends who did.
HUFF POST: What's worse, that a rule from 1938 allowing some employers to pay workers with disabilities sub-minimum wage still exists, that Biden is just now ending it as his presidency closes (and no other presidents ever did), or that Trump will just reinstate it?

NY1: Raskin > Nadler. Period. Easily.
HUFF POST: Trump is happy to tank the U.S. economy AND spit in the eye of the U.S. ally Canada for his obviously detrimental tariffs.
