In no way did any of the projections I read conceive of a first round in the NYC mayoral primary in which Zohran Mamdani handily beat Andrew Cuomo so badly that Cuomo felt compelled to conceded on Election Night.
But, here we are!
Cuomo's concession was uncharacteristically classy, though he still calls the dude “Mon-donny.”
I'm happy. I voted for Mamdani. I'm optimistic he will win office and prove himself.
