EXTRATV: Bling Empire: New York reality star Lynn Ban fell while skiing in Aspen on December 24. NYT: RIP Joel Paley, 69. He wrote the musical Ruthless! (1992) with his future husband Marvin Laird, winning an Outer Critics Circle Award and casting Laura Bell Bundy in her first major production. Her understudies? Britney Spears and Natalie Portman. Mr. Paley was preceded in death by Laird by a mere six weeks. His death occurred while he was driving, and has not yet been assigned an official cause, but it sounds like a heart attack, aneurysm or stroke scenario.
