HUFF POST: Trump backs down on insane funding freeze. See, too many people in positions of power have been obeying in advance.
DES MOINES REGISTER: Trump is the special sauce, because while he won this Iowa district by 20+ points just months ago, it just flipped to a D win.

THR: Babyboy Harris Dickinson poses and opens up for The Hollywood Reporter. Regarding his work in the film Beach Rats (see it), he recalls being nominated for major awards and not having it register that things were looking up for him:
His team called to tell him he’d been nominated for the Gothams and the Spirit Awards, and he asked whether they thought he might be invited to go. “They were like, ‘Of course you’ll be able to, you’re nominated for best leading actor, you idiot,’ ” he recalls with a laugh.
ADVOCATE: Robert Cromey, who performed the first same-sex church weddings in San Francisco, has died at 93. More of what this staunch straight ally did:
In 1964, he co-organized the Council on Religion and the Homosexual, which included representatives from the Methodist, Episcopal, Lutheran, and United Church of Christ denominations. In December of that year, the Council on Religion and the Homosexual became incorporated and was the first organization to have the word “Homosexual” in its name. The group actively engaged the major homophile organizations of the time, including the Society of Individual Rights (SIR), the Daughters of Bilitis, and the Mattachine Society. Reverend Robert Cromey was also an earlier celebrator of gay marriage (1968) and in the 1970s had a private practice as a therapist where he extended his help to LGBTQ people in need. By the 1980s, Cromey's church held funerals for over 70 men who died of AIDS.

OMG.BLOG!: August Wittgenstein goes full monty.
NYT: Trump signed an EO (his 200th or so?) restricting gender-affirming care, but while The New York Times claims it restricts that care for minors, it in fact restricts it for anyone under 19 — so not even 18-year-old adults can get it. Also worth noting is that most of the 50 states have set 16 or 17 as the age of (sexual) consent — so you can have sexual relations, but you can't make decisions about gender identity.
TWITTER: Probably my favorite thing I've ever seen Sen. Sanders do:
RFK's Children's Health Defense is making money selling a child's onesie with the phrases "No Vax, No Problem" and "Unvaxxed, Unafraid" to parents for $26.
— Bernie Sanders (@SenSanders) January 29, 2025
Now that RFK is "pro-vaccine", will he ask his organization to stop selling these vehemently anti-vaccine products? pic.twitter.com/vTAHOJRakH
INSTAGRAM: RFK Jr. likes this version best.
And finally, this bitch sitting in a Chinese restaurant (Ollie's) in the middle of Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan wants to fucking MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN?
