JOE.MY.GOD.: I realize there is still a lot of tension between gay people and trans people — many trans people assert that the entire modern LGBTQ+ rights movement is owed to trans folk almost exclusively, many gay people assert that trans people did NOTHING — but putting the infighting aside, it is appalling that the federal government is referring to the historic Stonewall site as being a site of LGB rights. LGB is disgusting and exclusionary. The overall movement from day 1 to now is includes trans people, and this effort to erase them, not just from history but from the present and the future, is chilling.
