I went to IFC's 20th-anniversary screening of the feature-film version of Strangers with Candy on Thursday, which brought out creatives Amy Sedaris, Stephen Colbert and Paul Dinello.
The film is going to be released to digital platforms by Shout! on April 1, and on a collector's Blu-ray this year.
I'd never seen the series (I'm bingeing it as we speak and finding it ever so depressing), but I liked the movie. It's funny, and — as I found out later — much less jarringly ironically racist and un-PC than the show. (Which I'm kind of astonished lasted three seasons even 25 years ago.)
