There's a lot in the air about Lincoln's queerness, but none have approached it quite as creatively as Lavender Men, in select theaters nationwide from today.

In it, non-binary stage manager Taffeta is currently working on a boring play about Lincoln's life while getting over an unrequited crush on its director.

Their work on the play is going unnoticed and unappreciated, and a cast member attempts rape, an act that pushes Taffeta to narrate Lincoln's story — and their own — in what is described as a fantasia that reclaims a story:

I will tell you a story. It's one of yours, but it's gonna come through me.
