Willam Weld is a prominent, respected, former Republican governor, which is why his continued presence on the Libertarian ticket under spazzy former governor Gary Johnson is perplexing. You could taste Weld's contempt for Johnson when seated next to him that time Johnson couldn't name a single foreign leader.

Now, Weld—who has already said no one on any of the tickets is more qualified to be POTUS than Hillary Clinton—has stated that his primary goal isn't to win, but to take down Trump:

I think Mr. Trump’s proposals in the foreign policy area, including nuclear proliferation, tariffs, and free trade, would be so hurtful, domestically and in the world, that he has my full attention.

Having an Aleppo moment of its own, the editorial board of the Chicago Tribune is following the lead of the Detroit News in endorsing neither Clinton nor Trump, but Gary Johnson, the pothead flake who can't name a world leader, sticks his tongue out a lot and has no idea what's happening in Syria.

I get that this is a good thing for Clinton in that the paper would typically endorse a Republican, but for fuck's sake, Gary Johnson is incompetent. This just makes them look stupid.

Right-wing nutjob Gary Johnson, to whom so many have turned because they think Hillary and Trump are same/same, disqualified himself from the presidency in a humiliating answer on MSNBC when asked what he'd do about Aleppo.

Johnson, who is seeking to become Commander-in-Chief, had zero idea what Aleppo is.

Mike Barnicle responded with incredulity—something more commentators and interviewers should do when Trump displays a similar (and worse!) lack of basic knowledge.

Johnson's big supporter at MSNBC herself called it depressing and wondered aloud where his failure leaves her.
