Tucker Carlson, whose only battle was with a bow tie ... and he lost, had the balls to state unequivocally that Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Illinois) is deeply silly and unimpressive, that people don't criticize her only because she served in the military, and that:

These people actually hate America. No longer a question about that. And yet at the same time, they desperately want to control America more than anything. And that leads to the most basic of all questions: Can you really lead a country that you hate?

Rich, coming from a guy who helped put an unabashed hater of most Americans in the Oval Office, where he still sits, like an inoperable tumor. (Operation scheduled for November, come what may.)

In response, Duckworth — who had her legs blown off in service of this country — tweeted:

We need to take Trump's trans ban seriously, because he is pushing ahead with it (it became official as of Friday night) in spite of almost nobody being in favor of it, its roughly billion-dollar cost and its potential to weaken the U.S. military.

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Illinois), who lost both legs in the service, writes, “When I was lbeeding to death in my Black Hawk helicopter after I was shot down, I didn't care if the American troops risking their lives to help save me were gay, straight, transgender, black, white, or brown.”

In a move that can only be considered appalling, the Human Rights Campaign is endorsing Sen. Mark Kirk, a Republican, over challenger Rep.Tammy Duckworth, a Democrat.

Kirk has a 78% rating for his gay-rights voting history (and that's by far the highest rating he's ever had), while Duckworth is aces with 100%.

Kirk may be not-so-terrible as compared to the rest of his party, but surely HRC knows that any Republicans with a seat denies a Democrat and empowers Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to thwart any progressive movement on any issues, including gay issues, and rewards him for his decision to stonewall President Obama's Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland.

It boggles the mind.

I remember being enraged with HRC for years when they endorsed Joe Lieberman.
