TWITTER: People are still shocked as shit that Tom Cruise posed rather sluttily (seemingly without really realizing, and definitely not in a “softcore” way) for Parlée in 1981. The one image people have seen — which has been available forever — continues to fascinate.
TEAMM8: This insanely hot ad reminds me of the time Meta penalized me for showing a 1930s image of Johnny Weissmuller in a loin cloth.
ATTITUDE: Andrew Scott tells Leo Reich, “You’re just a hole for Daddy.” I’m thinking It Gets Worse, but it also gets better.
THE GUARDIAN: AI could kill us all within 10 years — but by all means, share your butt-stupid “what I would’ve looked like in the ‘80s” pics.
THE RANDY REPORT: This is insane to me, but prosecutors in Indiana have declined to prosecute the woman whose false report that Pete Buttigieg was abusive toward his kids. He was separated from his family and vilified because of her political desire to attack him … and she skates? Turns out she’s a drunken, mentally ill crank who calls the cops all the time. But, like, so?

ABC7 NY: NYC Mayor Mamdani and former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani — who has bitterly said Mamdani has no business attending the 9/11 remembrance — shook hands at the (checks notes) 9/11 remembrance.
CBS NEWS: NYC Mayor Mamdani was joined — in a surprise — by former President Joe Biden at today’s 9/11 remembrance. Others there included NY Gov. Kathy Hokul, former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, former President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama and countless other official and public figures. Vice President JD Vance wants to be POTUS next, so he attended. Trump simply could not be bothered to travel. Instead, Trump was propped up at the Pentagon.
TWITTER: Imagine being so dumb you think the Deep State is covering up Saudi Arabia’s involvement in 9/11 … and that Trump, who is balls-deep in business with the Saudis, is your last, best hope of revealing these (already well-known) ties.
TWITTER: NYC Mayor Mamdani spoke about the city’s debt to the Catholic community in light of the stat that 9 of 10 firefighters who died that day were Catholic.

Thank you for this extraordinary update, Matthew - especially your personal remembrance. As always, I am so impressed by your ability to capture in words what so many of us were/are thinking.
Mamdami is a class act. Giuliani is a huge POS.
