NEW YORK TIMES: Leftist candidate Dr. Abdul El-Sayed won the Michigan Democratic primary for the Senate by less than 1%. That means all the polls were off by 10% … sometimes more. Since he performed poorly with Black voters, is the takeaway that pollsters are even less in touch with Black communities than he is? I’m glad he won.
Rep. Haley Stevens called early Wednesday to concede, which is a positive development.) It is my belief that the blue wave is not going to leave him behind, even if it’s anything but easy for him:
Rep. Stevens offered this gracious and immediate endorsement:
“I want to congratulate Abdul El-Sayed on winning the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. He is a doctor, a community health official, a Rhodes Scholar, and a dedicated Michigander. I am proud to offer my support as he takes on Mike Rogers in the general election … We need to win this Senate seat, because Elissa Slotkin deserves a partner like Abdul in the U.S. Senate.”
Moderate Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin immediately congratulated El-Sayed, saying:
“It’s been a long primary, but now it’s time to gear up to beat Mike Rogers (again) and win up and down the ticket. There is nothing more important than the mission of the next 90 days: uniting, keeping this seat blue, flipping the House and Senate, and providing a real check on President Trump.”
State Sen. Mallory McMorrow, who dropped out of the Democratic primary a month ago and still pulled 4%, also endorsed Dr. El-Sayed:
“I’m proud to give Abdul my full endorsement and support as we head to November together as a unified party.”
TMZ: Perez Hilton, who lost his damn mind and endorsed Jesus Christ and Spencer Pratt a while ago, got naked and cut himself up on TikTok Live Tuesday. The footage is gory and unhinged. He was taken to a hospital. I don’t wish him death, but it’s hard to feel bad for someone who has rooted for the worst when it came to Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse, even Michael Jackson (he guffawed when Jackson was dying, claiming it was fake).

Another VERY big and great post. Toluene? Never heard of it. I thought he was gay or is he gay for pay? As to Perez, I was never a fan but IRL he's friends with IRL friends so I thought there might be something redeeming about him. But, after the Pratt support, he's dead to me (as if he or anyone cares). He COULD lose the kids or else he'll have to move them and his Mother to another house. With all the aggravation he's caused so many others over the years, everyone says the karma is self induced. Again, another great post. BTW, Ken's reading is VERY delayed (LOL).
