Weren't you a teenager in 1986? It wasn't a regular circus performance; there were lots of special guests, etc. I think I have the program in the house - not in storage; I have to find it and donate it or sell it..
Well, as we know, the majority of media and culture is already the hetero version of Heated Rivalry (minus ice hockey) so I am not sure why this is of note. Is it just the hot male lead?
Very sad news about Nicholas Brendon, even more so for his family, especially his twin brother. Crazy coming right after the Buffy sequel series was cancelled.

I was kind of joking about a straight "Heated Rivalry," for the reasons you state. Yes, I agree, the timing on Brendon is so sad and weird.
