Matthew, what do you mean he licensed the Crawford name without a right to it? His Mom Cathy & Cindy inherited the estate and settled with Christina and Christopher after a lawsuit.
I spent my career in IP and was a bit surprised one of the major firms weren't dealing with Crawford's legacy but TBH and after asking AI - there really isn't much to license besides her name, etc. It's also entirely possible he and the other members of the family ARE pieces of work - so they may have been turned down by CMG, Authentic and Beanstalk. The Bette Davis estate, Gene Kelly, Robert Goulet and many others are also handled by family, so I guess it's not such a surprise. There are no significant TV series rights to deal with and the studios still own the rights to the likenesses from the movies.

I'm not sure, but those Crawford fans are feral and they said he was a scammer in some way. Some of them just loathed the poor guy.
