Boy Culture Links: Wearable Bubble Wrap, A Very Dirty Art Film, Sam Champion & Barry Manilow Both on the Mend, Poetry & Movies & Music + MORE

MODUS VIVENDI: The is called Modus Vivendi’s Air Bubble (butt?) line.
YOUTUBE: Carlos King interviews EJ Johnson, and it’s … a trainwreck. EJ comes off as an entitled monster. The part that boggles my mind is the nasty-tinged assertion that they will only sleep with straight men, all the while putting down women for not being as “cute” as EJ feels they are.
Watch:
I mean, there has to be a better way to be confident and assertive, and to counteract queerphobia than being a jerk who doesn’t want anything to do with any sense of community. It’s like narcissism and self-doubt fighting for attention.
And EJ also feels they should be the reigning queen of telling people what’s cute and what’s ugly, which is … it just isn’t funny to me or irreverent, it just feels like they’re so damaged and would be a nightmare to deal with.
INSTAGRAM: I agree with Marc Almond — I think Moby criticizing “Lola” by the Kinks as “gross” and “transphobic” is a huge overreach. My comment:
Again, to not like something is personal taste. But I think it’s unfair to assess a past work without giving it the credit it deserves along with the criticism.
MR. MAN: Mr. Man is on the case when it comes to Only Good Things:
“The Brazilian gay romantic drama Only Good Things is filled with memorable imagery and sexy actors, and the icing on the cake is the sheer amount of juicy manhood visible throughout almost the entirety of the flick. It’s a shame that awards season is behind us, because this movie deserves something! We’ll get into the plot as well as all of the bold actors who let it all hang out. Buckle up!
“Lonely farmer Antônio (Lucas Drummond) rescues lone wolf motorcyclist Marcelo (Liev Carlos) when he sees him crash. Antônio nurses Marcelo back to health on his farm, and the two fall in love. The first suggestion of an attraction is when Antônio eyes Marcelo while washing him off. Love at first sight!
“We could live in this world forever, but Only Good Things jumps into the future, where Fernando Libonati plays an older version of Antônio. At this point, he’s no longer with Marcelo, but does enjoy the company of his sexy assistant (Igor Leoni), who is fully naked in a very lengthy scene in which he prances around Antônio’s large apartment at night. It’s giving Barry Keoghan in Saltburn energy."
“The best moment between Fernando and Igor is when Fern grabs ahold of Igor’s junk before getting busy. There are a ton of other sexy scenes that everyone needs to know about, and we’ve got ‘em all right here. Enjoy…”
INSTAGRAM: Sorry to read weather god Sam Champion has had to have emergency heart surgery, but he seems to be in good spirits, writing:
“Thank you Dr. Stam Lerakis and Dr.sharma and the WONDERFUL team of nurses at @mountsinaimedicalcenter Fuster Heart Hospital ! Many of you know I had a nuclear stress test last Thursday. And we found some things that needed to be taken care of so today. I went in to the cardiac catheterization laboratory….. and we took care of it. Thanks to these procedures. I am well and expected to make a full recovery.❤️”
EXTRATV: Barry Manilow is opening up about his “nightmare” bout with lung cancer — which could’ve been much, much worse.
DEADLINE: How cool that Dan Bucatinsky is talking up the 25th (!) anniversary of All Over the Guy.
MIAMI HERALD: Channing Tatum and Roxane Gay are co-authoring a sexy gay novel. This is not AI!

OUTSFL: Gay poet who knows it Steven Reigns talks Outliving Michael, which is about his late friend Jon Michael Church.
WUSF: The Tampa Bay International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival is back with a rebrand as TIGLFF.
GAY CITY NEWS: Alice Maio talks Serpent’s Skin, which features a trans lead.
KENNETH IN THE (212): As always, Kenneth’s tennis roundups are … a boost.
FRANCE 24 ENGLISH: A nice, concise history of the unique attraction LGBTQ+ people have had to Paris, especially queer Black people:
STONEWALL NATIONAL MUSEUM: Celebrate Wilton Women’s Week at Stonewall National Museum if you’re in Fort Lauderdale. Janis Ian will be there in person on April 26.
Janis is now 74, but it feels like she was just 17 … if you know what I mean.
