As a big gay hockey fan, I must reluctantly admit to not having seen the series. I HAVE read the first two books. Rachel Reid tells stories well. And I went to a "Heated Rivalry" dance party in Philadelphia thinking I'd find "my people" and finding mostly women. It was kinda fun anyway.
Since the musical is playing all summer I'll try to go during or just after Pride weekend. After the Stanley Cup finals, of course. Go Knights! Thanks for the recommendation.
It really is a riot, but you must binge the series before seeing it — part of what is so witty is how it gently mocks aspects of the show. Report back once you go!
