Boy Culture Links: 'Heated Rivalry' Heartthrob François Arnaud Covers 'Man About Town, 'Pillion' Sex Scenes + MORE
The interview is a French kiss to the overheated 'Heated Rivalry' fanbase
APRIL 6, 2026
MAN ABOUT TOWN: It’s François Arnaud’s turn to cover Man About Town, and he is definitely a backer of the “Free the Nipple” movement.
For the S/S 2026 cover, the Heated Rivalry star is shot by Kosmas Pavlos and speaks with Myha’la (Industry).
He tells her of his sudden, job-mandated globe-trotting:
“I’m exhausted. It’s weird. Growing up, I was a teenage backpacker. I went to South America for three months — hitchhiking, the whole thing. I’m a less curious traveller also because I’m less interested in cities now than I used to be, because I feel like all cities sort of become the same now. It’s all the same luxury stores. Also, I find tourists difficult to watch because everyone enters a room in a museum and they’re already filming on their phones for… I don’t know who the fuck they’re going to show this to.”
I had to laugh, because I have this thought often. Like when people are iPhone-snapping a distant building, all I can think about is where it will end up. Deleted one day, probably, automatically.
Also appreciated his candid assessment of how he feels now that he’s a star:
“I’m like, ‘Oh, I need to put these glasses on my face inside because my makeup’s running down, because I haven’t been in glam for X amount of hours, and people are going to tell me I look like a drug addict.’ You know what I mean? I’m constantly thinking about how I’m going to be perceived, because I don’t want someone to misunderstand me.”
He also finds a way to coin the phrase “metaphorically manspread.”
GLAAD: GLAAD’s Anthony Allen Ramos chats with country star Ty Herndon about his career and life upon the occasion of the release of his memoir What Mattered Most.
OBSCURED: The twisted drama Blue Film — which I reviewed when it was on the fest circuit — is coming to theaters May 8.

MR. MAN: A guest item from Mr. Man, and it’s all about Pillion, so that’s a good thing:

“Nudity enthusiast Alexander Skarsgård somehow continues to push boundaries decades into his career, and we get his most hardcore scenes to date in the critically acclaimed gay romantic dark comedy Pillion, which is now on demand for your home viewing pleasure. Skarsgard was nearly fifty years old when he delivered these intense scenes. Goals!
“Before we get to the goods, what is Pillion about? Ray (Alexander Skarsgård) hits on the mild-mannered Colin (Harry Potter star Harry Melling) at a bar, leading to an awesome back-alley blowjob scene. What starts as a random hookup spirals into something far more intense than Colin ever imagined as Ray pulls Colin into a gay BDSM biker circle, where Colin embraces a submissive role opposite the dom top Ray. A match made in heaven.
“One standout moment features Ray unleashing himself inside Colin prematurely as they have sex in wrestling singlets, showing just how into Colin that Ray actually is. Another unforgettable scene shows the group’s subs bent over picnic tables, offering up their asses in a wild display of devotion.
“The catch? Colin yearns for a more traditional relationship with Ray. While Ray may want the same deep inside, he’s unable to be vulnerable enough for emotional intimacy, eventually leaving the two at an impasse. Still, it’s about the journey and not the destination, and this is one hell of a wild ride.
“The ageless Jake Shears (you may know him best as the co-lead vocalist for Scissor Sisters) plays one of the subs in Pillion, and he delivers the only real frontal nudity. Sadly, it’s fake. That really would be too good to be true. Still, we’re somehow not mad at it. There are about a Pillion reasons to love this flick, one of the best gay movies featuring an A-lister of the past decade!”
