I haven’t heard that and yes I don’t understand that either. I believe someone told us that Guillermo has extensive family in Mexico. I saw a post from Zafar’s first cousin on Facebook and he seemed eager to find out more. There was also a detailed article from a Mexico City news source which I will share with you.
Thank you, Matthew. I’m a friend of Zafar‘s And we’ve been trying to communicate as much as possible with everybody, friends and family to find out anything. I was encouraged to see that NBC and ABC Chicago carried stories about them missing. We’re praying for their safety. ❤️
Same, though I keep hearing “the family” (whose?) doesn’t want social media & media attention. I can’t understand why, as there is literally no information at all.
I’ve posted on my Meta accounts as well. Guillermo has family in Veracruz and an extensive network in Chicago, Hawaii and Mexico. Praying this is all just a big misunderstanding.
I shared it on my Facebook profile plus to 3 groups for expats and immigrants here. Fingers crossed.

I truly cannot even imagine. 🥺Hoping it’s just a matter of cell phones needing a charge, and they are returned with no harm and a wild story.
